Welcome to Westown!

Well, it's been crazy since we returned from Cancun mostly because we have been on a frantic house hunt! The first one we (man, I say "we" like I have a husband, I mean Nic and I) looked at we fell in love with but were totally freaked out because two other people were walking out of an appointment just as we walked in. This freak out led us to complete the application that day and anxiously, VERY ANXIOUSLY, await a response from "Chuckie", the realtor. The FAB news came yesterday and Nic and I will be moving out of good ol 187 on the 30th of this month and around the 9th we will be living in this beautiful new place, welcome home to 8601 Westown Parkway #15106.

Why is this place soooo amazing?
- Still in West Des Moines, eventhough our county is Dallas we aren't in Waukee so you can't not visit us because it's too far
- Less than 5 years old
- 2 car attached garage
- 2.5 bathrooms
- Open floorplan, which will be much better for Thanksgiving rehearsal dinner
- Gas fireplace
- Energy efficient
- Huge bedrooms
- 2nd floor laundry
- Patio
and the best part ......
- S&J will be a mere 1 block away LITERALLY!!!

Now we just need JW&LW to join us in the land of milk and honey :) Come to the west side, you know you want too!

Anyway, Nic and I are really excited and we can't wait to have you all come see our new beautiful home and help us bid farewell to, "our first place".

  2. Congrats!! I don't think you'll ever get Jake to most farther west than 63rd. Yeah - we'll have to have a farewell 187 party and trash your old place. Or... as close to trashing a place as WE could. We're not really 'trashing the place' partiers...

although i agree with rod...a pool or tennis courts would be extra fun.

  4. and caboose knows me too well. 63rd would be the extreme west border of my housing possibilities.

and by 'trashing', i'm envisioning not taking our shoes off while we party, perhaps spilling a bowl of chili...super crazy.
