Mexic-oh-yeah!

I sit here in my bed sulking a little because a week ago I was sitting on a beach, reading a hilarious book with mojtio in hand, soaking up the sun in 90 degree weather while today in Iowa it is gloomy and COLD! Here are a few highlights from the trip the crew now known as Harmangrewe took to Cancun! We've decided Costa Rica will be the place to go next year.

- Met Doug Duncan, PBR rider, still drunk from the night before and watched him drink 2-4 Jack & Coke's before 7:30AM on our plane ride to Memphis
- Found out the girl sitting in the row ahead of me was from Lidderdale, her parents own the Lidderdale Country Store YUM!
- Sang "Walkin' in Memphis" more than a few times
- Laughed uncontrollably at J. Rod on the moving sidewalk more than once
- Found out Dramamine dissolves upon impact with your tongue and tastes terrible
- Met some rad Canadian's that should have stuck around at our resort to keep Jared company, played volleyball with them, and partook in a sweet modeling photoshoot on the beach with them after running away from the man in the yellow speedo that took vball a bit too seriously
- Sat in the sun everyday, reading and drinking and swimming and chilling and being thankful for the opportunity to travel with such great friends
- Used up all of our sunscreen by day 2 and found out that a bottle of aloe and some more sunscreen really does cost 31USD
- Had an amazing dinner at Krystal
- Found a Starbucks and had a little taste of the USA
- Dropped the beat in the pool when the DJ let us take over the tunes and I spread the love of my summer mixtape to the waters of Cancun. Our dance party was widely talked about and several people were thankful for the fly sounds coming from Stacy's iPod
- Had too much fun on Cinco De Mayo and will be swearing off mojitos for awhile thanks to a bit of dehydration, some sun poisoning and a bartender who thought I could handle my liquor
- Lost the remainder of the $20 bottle of sunscreen
- Decided that Coco Bongo was a terrible idea and that becoming the next Natalie Holloway was not a good idea (you're welcome mom!)
- Met some amazingly nice staff at our resort! Ulysses, Thomas, Gilberto & Laura!
- Survived a trip to the airport with one of the worst drivers ever
- Ran away from Margaritaville after discovering a 20 oz. bottle of water was 6USD and cheeseburger basket was 28USD, no we did not dine and dash
- Bought a 6USD can of Pringles to survive impending death by starvation
- Sang "Welcome to Atlanta where the playas play" only about 10 times while walking through the Atlanta airport
- Inhaled Wendy's like it was my job
- Made it back to DSM safe and sound!

Overall it was a much needed mental holiday for all of us. We were glad to return to the land where salad dressing is the correct consistency and ketchup tastes like it should. Where water that comes from the faucet is safe to drink. And where the people we love the most were waiting for us with open arms. We missed a lot while we were gone as the ladies of 187 sold the house and will be moving out June 1, Nic's grandfather passed away & my good friend Noel was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma BUT we all know that the plan of the Big Guy is a perfect one and that the USA is hands down the best place in the world to live.
